Emergency Preparedness Expert Larry Frank a.k.a Mr. Prepared™ Responds To Recent Disasters

Thursday, July 3rd, 2008

Mr. Prepared™, in light of recent disasters, emphasizes the importance of emergency preparedness, even in the most unlikely circumstances.

Orlando, Fla. – July 3, 2008 – In a recent article on http://www.MrPrepared.com, emergency preparedness expert, Larry Frank a.k.a. Mr. Prepared™, highlights recent examples of stellar preparedness, as well as examples of some being unprepared, amidst recent disaster situations around the country.  The article titled “You Can’t Outsmart Nature” challenges the notion that being prepared is not necessary for everyone.  Mr. Prepared™ cites an example of an Iowa driving range owner who was consistently told that his property would never flood.  Of course, the recent flooding in the area was the worst in nearly 500 years, some estimate.  Mr. Prepared™ uses this example to emphasize the importance of always being prepared for any disaster or emergency situation, no matter how likely or unlikely the situation may seem.

Further in the article, Mr. Prepared™ praises the preparedness of an Iowan Boy Scout troop whose camp was ravaged by a tornado.  The Boy Scout troop had recently engaged in emergency drills, monitored the weather and found the safest place to be should a storm hit; subsequently, they were able to ride out the storm.  The scouts then used their first aid skills to help the injured.  Larry Frank a.k.a. Mr. Prepared™ wrote, “As awful as the experience was, it all could have been a whole lot worse – which is why I admire the scouting program so much!   Any organization that has “Be Prepared” for a slogan has to be Mr. Prepared’s™ favorite!”

Mr. Prepared’s™ new website, http://www.MrPrepared.com, acts as an online hub for information regarding emergency and disaster preparedness.  Families visiting the website will learn how to better prepare themselves and their home to withstand any disaster or emergency by learning from Mr. Prepared™.   Mr. Prepared™ also rates products on his “3P” system so families can know what they need to stay prepared. You can even ask Mr. Prepared™ himself for advice.  The website also features tips and suggestions ranging from advice on generators, pet preparedness, hurricane preparedness, and reserve food packs.

Emergency Preparedness Expert Larry Frank a.k.a Mr. Prepared™ Discusses “Disaster Personalities”

Friday, June 13th, 2008

Mr. Prepared™ recently discussed personality traits during disasters and their effect on one’s reaction during an emergency

Orlando, Fla. – June 13, 2008 – In a recent article on http://www.MrPrepared.com, emergency preparedness expert, Larry Frank a.k.a. Mr. Prepared™, examines the effect of one’s personality on their actions during an emergency situation.  In the article titled, “What’s Your Disaster Personality?” Mr. Prepared™ explains that panicking during an emergency situation is actually a good reaction.  In this case, Mr. Prepared™ compares panicking, which he describes as “taking action,” to “doing nothing.”  Most people, he explains, are usually susceptible to going in to shock over the emergency situation around them, causing them to do nothing.

This susceptibility to “doing nothing” during emergency is directly related to how prepared each person is for certain disaster and emergency situations.  The article describes how being fully prepared for any emergency situation is as easy as thinking it through and purchasing all of the items that you need beforehand.  Being prepared in this manner helps one think clearer and react faster during an emergency, because they have already thought through the proper actions to take.

Larry Frank a.k.a. Mr. Prepared writes, “If you don’t react properly during an emergency, you put yourself and your family in more jeopardy.  If you don’t prepare properly for an emergency, the same thing happens.  That’s why being scared keeps you safe – it makes you take the proper action by purchasing your emergency supplies prior to an emergency so that you can be prepared for anything. ”

Mr. Prepared’s™ new website acts as an online hub for information regarding emergency and disaster preparedness.
