Twister Terror! Mr. Prepared Says Be Prepared to Weather a Tornado!
Friday, July 4th, 2008We all know what a tornado can do when it strikes – it’s a favorite of movies from “The Wizard of Oz” to “Twister.” What a lot of us don’t know is what to do when it strikes us.
I’m Mr. Prepared and I’m here to help you be prepared for a tornado strike. That violent twister that blew through a Boy Scout Camp in Iowa recently sure shook up a lot of people – and I’m hoping it motivated some of you to consider putting a few minutes into emergency preparations in case a wind devil ever kicks up some dust on your street.
What I’ve done to make it real simple and convenient for you is make available my new free report, “Top 10 Tornado Survival Facts,” available for download at my website at www.MrPrepared.com. Check it out and give it a read. It gives a lot of great information that you may not know – and also explodes a lot of old myths many people still believe about how to survive a tornado.
For instance, some think that opening all the windows in the house will make it tornado-safe. Wrong!!!! As I say in the report, don’t spend your time trying to open all the windows in the house – the twister will take care of that for you! What you should be doing is getting to a safe place, not trying to pry open the bathroom window that’s been stuck forever since you painted the window sill!
I also spell out how to set up an emergency disaster plan for you and your loved ones, and what food supplies and survival gear you should have on hand in case a big, bad twister hits. It’s all to the point and helps you take some much needed steps for survival.
If you want to know more about tornadoes, you should also check out my article, “Tornadoes – Nature’s Most Violent Storms,” where I talk about the worst tornado strikes on record in America. Tornadoes hit so fast and are so powerful, that there are a lot of amazing tornado stories out there. For example, a sack of flour was once carried by one – and landed intact 110 miles away!
But don’t assume you’ll make out as well as that flour sack – make sure you’re ready for the worst! I’m Mr. Prepared, bringing Awareness to Preparedness!
